Meet Loren Lieberman

Born and raised in Dundas, Loren has dedicated his life and career to uplifting his community.

Loren Lieberman was born at St. Joseph's Hospital and has lived in Dundas, West Hamilton, and Ancaster. His longstanding connection to the region reflects the vision he has for its future. A true multigenerational family man, Loren shares his life with his wife of 20+ years, Lisa, their son Jacob (Kelli), and 2.5 grandchildren. He volunteers with the Dundas Lions Club, loves to garden, and is an ardent baseball and hockey fan.

Loren's professional journey is defined by a lifetime of real leadership and a deep personal stake in Hamilton's future straight to City Hall.

Loren studied music and performance at Bishop's University and built a career in the arts as a producer, director, and playwright. He served as Artistic Director of the Tivoli Theatre and spent over 15 years leading the Festival of Friends as Executive Director, turning it into one of the region's most beloved community institutions. Through his work on Six Nations of the Grand River, he took on fundraising and government relations for The Dreamcatcher Foundation, work he counts among the most important of his life. He has also worked in the Corporate, Agricultural and Not-For-Profit sectors.

For decades, Loren has been a familiar voice in the community as a newspaper and magazine columnist, radio commentator, and television co-host on Cable 14. Along the way, he's been recognized with the City of Hamilton's Vision 2020 Award, Tourism Ambassador of the Year, and finalist for the Hamilton Chamber of Commerce's Citizen of the Year among other accolades. Loren sits on the Board of Governors for the Allan Cup Hockey League, is a volunteer board member with the Ontario Trillium Foundation and Summerset Women's Recovery Centre among various other worthy causes.
